Neil,

Here is what the admin who worked on the mgration sent to me. I hope it
helps. I don't know if the migration document mentioned is from MS or
some other engineer, but here is what we learned.

"The 2003 migration document did not indicate we needed to check this
box when creating the connection agreements for each site. The
"Replicate Secured objects" checkbox is at the bottom of the Windows tab
on the Connection Agreement. Without it, replication of AD objects will
not get to 5.5.

This will also cause duplicate mailboxes if the user's mailbox was
manually created in 5.5 because it wasn't replicating over, then you
really have a mess."

Regards.

Nate

Subject: RE: Repercussions of the active directory connector.

Weve had AD setup for a while, I've done a pilot system with ADC which
works
perfectly and I've got instruction steps in my head which should do
exactly
what we need. The problem is the size of the organisation and the fact
they
are retaining there old email address so I have to use ADC to allow me
to
migrate people over time whilst still maintaining all of the email on a
single domain flowing.

The setup and migration is easy enough, I've gone through it enough
times
its just the problems that arise afterwards which somebody has mentioned
I
am now investigating as I don't want to run into problems after I have
migrated people.

Thanks again for all help.
