I use the MAPI outlook 98 client on the server. I have profiles for all the
conference rooms that have the script installed on them. This way we can
open the mailboxes for them in a consistent manner. We are running Exchange
5.5 SP4 with the CDO hot fix as of April, which we thought would have fixed
this, but didn't.

Can you expand how you "open" it from the server? OWA? A MAPI Outlook
(97/98/2000/2002) client?
Are you running Exchange 5.5 Server with SP4? If so, did you apply the
lasted postSP4 hotfixes (especially the one for CDO 1.21)?
