This problem you pose, screams RPC issue, but you claim that there isn't a
router between you and the exchange server?  You claim that you can ping
your exchange server via its FQDN.  Like Darren York said, did you try
Q274668?  I still can't get past RPC......What version OS are your clients?
I seen this happen on a NT 4.0 client when the RPC configuration service was
removed.  How about "Client for Microsoft Networks"?
