a free solution is a dvd region code over ride program called  DVD43 or 
DVDforfree which disables copy protection and region coding.  I use it to be 
able to view all region dvds on my windows based PC.  It someetimes does not 
play nice when burning a cd with Nero, but disabling it before hand solves the 
issue
