I note no report on trying the step-by-step at ZDNN. Since I don't have a SBLive and I have been having trouble (along with everyone else in the world) getting packages they want to register you for. (The authentication routine loops you back to registering again and again.) I would suggest you CALL Creative and get them to send you the software by mail on a disk. There is a way to bypass the authentication routine, but not for people who don't know how to clean up logs and avoid the temptations of absolute power.
It is very rare yet where we find a manufacturer who is willing to write or part with a beta of a linux driver. I do hope you try it.
