I just bought a 13.6 gig Maxtor hard drivefor my home pc, and much to my
chagrin, I discovered that my motherboard BIOS will only support 8.4 gig. I've
done some digging looking for a BIOS patch, but can't find anything. My mobo is
made by Top Gun, has the TXPro UDMA 33 IDE support.
My main question is this. Can I install Linux while using this MaxDrive
software? Will I need to use loadlin instead of lilo? Or am I looking at
replacing the board? (Something I *really* don't want to do) Would anyone
happen to know about a site that might have a BIOS patch for this board? (It
uses an AMI bios)
