The problem with this one is that the standard kernel doesn't support
DMA/UDMA on the Ali M15xx chipset. I have the same chipset, and had to
recompile the kernel after applying the ide patch for this problem. The
only problem is that it disagrees with my cd-writer, causing linux to
lock up hard when loading vmware. I guess i just have to settle for
8mb/sec times from my drive instead of 15-16 ;-) You might have better
luck, depending on your cd-roms.
