The saga continues
In my effort to eliminate to illuminate ........
I took out the scsi drives and controller
and placed a brabd new WD 4.3Gb as /dev/hda
Fresh re-install of RH 6.1 gives same results, modem not found
Fresh install of Caldera Open Linux freezes up, every time when trying to
load the kernel
First time I have had this, but someone may know what this means
I have nothing in there now except M/B, memory, vid card and hardrive
Guess what guys, I am writing this while installing win 95 on this
troublesome machine, just to find out how
MS handles this problem, well Win 95 cannot find modems at all. Basic setup,
only vid card and hard drive, modem and mouse (Com2 and Com 1) Modem works
in another machine, Guess m/b is at fault???????
If anyone has any crazy suggestions please let me know
Phil
