Thanks for your help guys
I am in the process of installing win 98 and Il see what happens there.
Also I have swapped out modems, tried several different ones, none work
Tried setting for differnet com ports as well. Asus dont reply to my
problem, my supplier now
says he has no idea what the problem is, and for me to let him know when
I have the solution
