Haven't read the entire thread thoroughly, but have you checked the BIOS? Mine
has settings concerning the modem specifically. You might also try another
modem in that system if the current modem works in other systems. Help narrow
down whether it's the board configuration, BIOS, modem or something else. Oh,
you might want to just check the jumpers on your main board. I'm not familiar
with that one, but they put jumpers and such for some crazy things it seems
sometimes. Never know what you might find out.
Simple suggestions like, gas in the tank and battery got a charge? Just a
couple cents worth.
