Sometimes stock installs seem to vary according to which choices are made on installation!? Also is your security set to more than the default? Let us know if you truly have sendmail or postfix installed. Then we can take another try at tracking this down. Basically if its sendmail then you may want to try and include something like "sendmail pine prob" in your subject so maybe one of the sendmail advocates could jump in !!!
