Wait...I'm confused here. How is it that linuxconf has changed anything? Let alone the permissions on an entire directory so that it doesn't have the proper read/write/exec permissions. All Linuxconf does/is, is an interface with which to configure the system. It's something that people need to accomplish this. It makes more sense to think that Sendmail is more the culprit here than a configuration utility. Maybe I'm missing something here... -- Mark / * Sometimes it becomes necessary to rock the boat * in order to get the rats up from below decks * so they can be kicked over the side and drowned! * * REGISTERED LINUX USER # 182496 */ <<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<*REPLY SEPERATOR*>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> On Sat, 2 Dec 2000 David Mihm had this to say! > On Sat, 2 Dec 2000, Gary de Montigny wrote: > > > bill wrote: > > > > > > > > Dec 1 10:00:56 bonnie sendmail[13282]: eB1G0uj13282: SYSERR(gjd): Can't > > > > > > create transcript file ./xfeB1G0uj13282: Permission denied > > > > > > > > > > > > Obviously this is a permission error.
