linuxconf is the worst thing since sliced processed cheese. :)
The proper perms/owner/group on /var/spool/mqueue should be:
drwxrwxr-x 2 root mail 3.0k Dec 2 1997 mqueue/
You'll need to go into the lionuxconf scripts and fix this
ridiculous need for it to change the perms to a state of inoperability;
which you are on your own. Perhaps Mandrake would like to release a fix,
and/or might already have. The obvious fix being 'rpm -e linuxconf'. :)
