I'm using ReiserFS for the same purposes...

I'd like to add that my purpose in starting this thread
is not to slam Mandrake. It is to find out if my
experience is isolated, and if there is a solution.
If it isn't isolated, maybe we can find some common
threads that lead to a solution.
To that end, I'd like to ask the other people who are
having stability problems what filesystem they are using.
I am using ReiserFS for everything but the boot
partition.
