Jim - You can read all about F1000 from its' conception on the Apex Speed.com site which is a very informative site to follow as is the sportsracer.net website. Occasional F500 guys will show up on either one with comments. Some very famous racers and engineers inhabit both sites and I have gained a wealth of valuable info for my "project car"

OT of sorts-
can someone with more creativity than I explain some of the F1000 proposed rules? There is a big discussion of the flat bottom rules (1" deviation from the reference plane between the axles) but then an allowance of a diffuse behind the front wheels and ahead of the rear wheels. Is this allowed up to the 1" rule, a miswritten rule, or am I just not creative?

Just did a little reading on things and there has been some CRAZY stuff
going on:

Brian Novak drives to a win in an INVADER!!! Sportsman of the year-Ron Dick

The comp Board allows 2 in / 3 in suspension rubbers for 2007 in latest
FasTRack--good job Joe

Heartland Park seems smooth and drivable

Wow, leave for a little bit and everything changes, anyone designing new
shocks?
