I would suggest using impact wrenches only to loosen bolts that were applied with only nominal torque.

Removing broken bolts can ruin a weekend.

Besides, I've seen some of us at the track and, quite honestly, we can use the exercise.

I would suggest the strongest impact wrench you can afford, and a set of torque limiting extension bars. I have seen them available at harbourfreight.com for around $80.

I'm looking for recommendations on a good impact wrench with enough torque to pop my primary off after a full season and adjustable to also be used for my SVT Mustang wheel lugs. What peak torque should I be shopping for? Any brands I should stay away from? I'll probably only use it once or twice a year on my NovaKar and about the same amount on my Mustang. I have a Maxxus compressor with plenty of CFM.
