Which engines?

not care how many cc it is as long
as it can turn the same lap times & is bullet proof. I am looking at a
couple of engines that might work.

While i agree with the idea of a 4 stroke with a conventional gearbox, i do
see one problem, and that is where our class would fit into the whole scheme
of things.

600cc bike motors are already taken by formula SAE, i belive, and while
thats kind of a exclusive college engineering thing, they do autocross them
and to my untrained eye, they look very similar to our cars but have
coilover supension.

1000cc motors are going to be taken by f1000, right? No need for another
1000cc class.

Using a production 4 cylinder seems out of the question because of weight,
but again, taken by formula ford.

And going smaller, 125/250cc dirtbike motors are/belong on a kart chassis.

So where do we actually stand in options? and how much further is this going
to antiquate my 440cc kawi powered zink? I already cant road race, but a
bigger engine option might put alot of fast rotax cars into the autocross
world.

Not that any of this really matters to me, ill still have my old car till i
win the lottery or sell a kidney, but im still instrested.
