Brands and models and what would be the best ones? Are the transmission gears undercut lke all the bigger bikes are now so they could take a lot of load form a heavier vehicle w/out popping out of gear? Have these been run in comparable weight and tire vehicles like any circle track stuff? Chuck Here is a link to a hp comparison of late-model 600cc bike engines: http://www.sportrider.com/bikes/046_0607_middleweights_dyno_testing/photo_01.html Follow the "Next" link just below the dyno chart to check out the torque ratings. You will notice that the engines are rated at about 105 to 110 hp, AT THE REAR WHEEL. This is quite a bit more than what I understand a Rotax 494 will make, so bike engines would have to be restricted, perhaps with a SAE-style flat-plate intake restrictor.
