Do you really think that A somebody will spend the money to design a special 
chassis around a shock, and B it would make a difference?

No. The difference would be who has a chassis designed for that spec shock.


If you change the rules to mandate a spec shock, all the existing chassis' 
will be obsolete overnight, because they ARE NOT DESIGNED FOR SHOCKS. Unless 
you allow freedom to select the shock to match the chassis, you will have to 
by whatever chassis is best suited to the spec shock in order to be 
competitive. If you allow freedom to select the shock to match the chassis, you 
will 
have $1500 shocks.
