little brain I have left. The Mooney M20E I got my commercial license and a lot of my instrument time in had (and still has) - are you ready? - RUBBER PUCKS for main gear suspension.
Since we're all sharing our "rubber" stories, I don't know if many of you are aware, but many heavy duty transports and trailers have been using large rubber "pucks" for decades. Pretty solid and reliable technology I guess.
