Remember - The Speed guy said "new tires every race", which I am under the impression the top guys do. Plus I don't think there was a motel/food cost in this budget, which is fine for a local race, but the Speed guys were doubtless including all these in their value.
Of course, it would be nice to mention that not all folks spend this much. And Jim Murphy went to great lengths this year to try to get someone excited enough to talk to the Speed announcers before the event, and give them a handout on all this stuff.
