Good questions, all. As for the shocks, it's not like we would specify a particular part number. If you wanted to change dampening you could use a different shock in that product line. That's very different from the situation in Showroom stock where everyone was working within a particular unit, trying to find the one unit that was a little stiffer, etc. If you want stiffer this way you just buy a set of shocks for a pickup or large car. BTW, seeing as we have NO dampening now I think it will be some time before we even get around to finding nth degree performance thru "fine tuning" shocks.
As for the wheels and tires we can limit widths to maybe a 7" rim instead of 8", etc. The OD on some 13" tires are close to what we are running today. The advantages are that they are perceived as "real" wheels and tires, they are already manufactured, they will take a lot of undampened travel out of the car, they will handle better, and they will look pretty cool. As I said before, it's not critical but we should be thinking downstream and I believe this is one change would help the class.
