hence the reason no improvements are allowed in the class, its an
embarrasment that a glorified go cart costing 10,000 can easily be at the
finish line in front of the 80-100,000 full blown race car.
they sure as hell arent going to give a 4 stroke 140-160hp superbike engine
to the class. especially if it has the potential to shave the lap times even
more.<<--------this is the main reason that f500 cant get a piece of rubber
changed in the rule book.
And everyone is talkin about the sounds of the 2 stroke, thats the only
reason i got into this it is music t omy ears , i guess you have to be a
true 2 stroke fanatic to enjoy the sound

Short story, Last year at the 'Glen, I paddocked next to a guy with a
Viper,
stacker ex-Nascar trailer, pit box the whole deal.
He came in after his session and was elated to run a 2:17 long course. They
had been laughing at the "weed whacker" until we went out and ran 2:07 !
After
that the interest level went way up and I could see his crew doing the
math.
They probably could have bought the whole National field of 500's ( 10 cars
)
there for what they had in their setup.
