I would push for the 4stroke
snowmobile engine very hard! It will not be easy to come up with the correct size or engine to use, but by staying with the cvt concept it would still be a lot cheaper than going to a motorcyle engine!

I have to admit, I am pretty sour on the 2 stroke thing. I spent the whole summer rebuilding engines last year. Four times all told. I barely had any seat time at all. Now, if I had some consistent and good running time, I might be alot happier.

A concern I would have with the bike engine would be weight and the CG. I know from nothing about the CG issue except that lower is better and the motorbike engine sits up pretty dang high. It would have to effect handling in a negative way, I would guess, but I will defer to those who actually know what they're talking about here. 8-)
