----- I never pondered it before. Years of spiritual practice, as in meditation, but no self-inquiry workshops or satsangs. Maybe when there's fog, we need to study, or listen to our buddies or teachers to help us fill in the gaps, connect the dots, create a story (a la Dr. Pete). But I maintain that, when the curtain gets ripped away, for however short a moment, the understanding is built in. Prior exercises in trying to bend the mind around ideas and words that can never capture the truth don't seem to matter. Maybe I'm wrong. Doesn't matter either. The mind games can be fun. And you never know when the curtain will rip away, again, or forever.
