I have been fortunate enough to have had some absolutely smokin' spiritual experiences in this life. And try as I might, I cannot pinpoint a cause-and- effect relationship between ANYTHING I might have been doing or not doing in my life, path-wise, and the appearance of the cool experiences. They just happened when they happened, and then they went away when they went away, and they reappear from time to time when they reappear. I think that people would *like* to believe that the pathway to enlightenment is so simplistic as to be definable in terms of "If I do A, B, and C and don't do X, Y, and Z, enlightenment will appear." But I really don't, and can't, believe that any more. It doesn't make sense, and any attempts to try to *make* it make sense are like playing pin the tail on the whirlwind. You wind up standing there with an ass's tail in your hand and sand in your eyes, feeling like you should pin the tail on your self. :-) Unc To subscribe, send a message to: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Or go to: http://groups.yahoo.com/group/FairfieldLife/ and click 'Join This Group!'
