Yup. In forty years of grazing at the spiritual smorgasbord,
I can say that one trend holds true across *all* organizations
with a living teacher: those who are most fanatical about the
teacher and the teachings have spent the least time in close
proximity to the teacher. The greater the degree of ideal-
ization, the less likely it is that the individual has spent
any time around the teacher on a day-to-day basis.
