Well it is certainly helpful to experience the beginnings of urdhaveta 
for ones evolution. My question in this case would be 'is this person 
telling the truth'? One thing I have noticed as I came back into 
contact with movement people today is that they will tell untruths to 
protect their projections of their teacher and what they imagine the 
teaching to be. It's really not that different from other types of 
fundamentalism. Therefore I am always a bit skeptical of such isolated 
and alleged experiences. Esp. as there is sometimes an ulterior 
motivation such as 'save the teaching', etc.
