Unless the TMO has pulled out very recently, this is very much a TMO
school. I know something about its history as I was tangentially
involved when it was first set up. One (sort of) side note is that
MMY was very strong that his name or any kind of the usual TM name
was not given to the school - very clear difference in the usual
approach.

The whole TM requirement has always been played down by the TMO,
rather than being promoted (the usual scenario in the western world
and India anyway). However, up until few months ago, TM was a
requirement until the usual happened (given enough time) - someone
complained (or sued, I cannot remember) about being forced to do TM,
and now the TMO has backed down about being "required" - but TM is
still strongly encouraged. Again, unless something that I have not
heard of has happened, it is definitely a TMO institution - but the
low-key style is very different than the usual approach.

Also, as another side note, the number of students who are Sidhas in
the university has meant that South Africa has had and exceeded its
superradiance number for the past several years.
