Patrick,

Two points:

1) George Bush also sounds somewhat articulate when making prepared 
speeches.  I wonder why.

2)  The point was made recently by, I believe, Unc., that in many 
cultures depression is a luxury not afforded because they other 
issues to deal with, such a having enough to eat and surviving. It 
seems to me that her experience is actually the more common one.

  *Diversion*

 When our first child was born, I was the team player.  Right there 
in the delivery room, monitoring breathing strategies etc.  When the 
time came for the second one, I really did not care to be much 
involoved, although I put in some face time.  By the time of the 
third, I would have preferred to be a couple hundered miles away.

It is not an easy business.  This is one reason, I am in such awe of 
womenkind.  Source of creation is not an understatement.
