When the whole Rev. Wright affair blew up in his face and he gave a nationally televised speech on Race Relations to CYA, it gave him a huge boost in the primary polls. Attacks on Hillary came from her own party and she had no such platform to speak out against sexism. From start to finish the DNC and the media blatantly favored Obama.
