Other than the FF greenhouse, are you aware of others. Wasn't there one in Missouri? Did that go under or is it still viable? Are you aware of any tangible, on the ground (not on paper) operating greenhouses in 3rd world countries? What is the business model for greenhouses in 3rd world countries? In the us the idea was to have them close to urbane centers where yuppie urbanites would supposedly pay $5-10 / lb for organic vegetables. In contrast, in 3rd world countries, there is much less demand for such (and the deep demand for such in the US has not been demonstrated to my knowledge). And often in third world countries you already have many families with their own "organic" gardens -- they cant afford fertillizer and pesticides (don't ask whats in the bucket they are putting around the plants)) as well as small "organic" truck farms. So I would see little demand for high priced organics in 3rd world countires. Is the plan to jet the fresh and perishable produce into developed country's urban centers? ------------------------ Yahoo!
