Well, for me it's all academic, because as more of 
a Buddhist than anything else, I'm unconvinced that 
there IS a sentient God who would be capable of
"watching."  My only hope is that if there is, 
He/She/It is not only *has* adopted the Prime
Directive, but is a much better actor than William
Shatner.  :-)

Personally, I'd be happier with Jean-Luc Picard as
God than Kirk.  Cooler look, better sense of humor.
