I don't find the signal-to-noise ratio to be any lower with our a.m.t. transfers than it was before they arrived here. Before, I skipped half the posts because they were from people I didn't read. Now I skip half the posts because the personal debates aren't relevant to me. Either way, I'm skipping half the posts, and it's no harder to discern which ones to miss. I've enjoyed reading Lawson's and Judy's thoughts for many years now, pretty much since going online 10 years ago. I like Barry's writing, too. I'd hate to see any of them leave. In my three years in this forum I've never seen listmembers rise up in a social action this way. That in itself may be adequate feedback as to what degree of discord this community will tolerate.
