Emily, simply reporting that right after I sent that post, I thought of you. I don't walk my talk about all this 100% either. But this film, by getting to my heart, urges me in that direction. John, I found it very powerful. It actually brought tears to my eyes. I think this is the sadness that is good for the heart that was in a post of cardemaister the other day.

Midway is the recipient of much debris in the Pacific Garbage Patch. On a backpacking trip a couple of years ago to a stretch along the northern coast of Washington, I became outraged at the number of plastic water bottles littering the beach. I filled up a large garbage sack (also plastic) within a short time and trucked it out; interestingly, I talked to everyone I saw (it was a holiday weekend so there were more people than usual) about grabbing an extra bottle or two on their way out, but only 2 people seemed receptive to the idea. I do not walk my talk yet, in the sense that I purchase many things in plastic, or with plastic parts, but this is a horrifying reality. ________________________________ From: Share Long <sharelon...@yahoo.com> To: "FairfieldLife@yahoogroups.com" <FairfieldLife@yahoogroups.com> Sent: Monday, July 29, 2013 9:15 AM Subject: Re: [FairfieldLife] Re: Unexpected Effects of Pot Farms "Come with me on a journey, through the eye of beauty, across an ocean of grief...and beyond." http://www.midwayfilm.com/index.html
