Well yes, it can be thought of in these terms. Or simply from a physiological 
point of view: the nervous system has to be clear and strong enough to run all 
that energy!

Ha-ha! That is why they say no one gets enlightened. I guess the longer time 
frame is to ensure the conditioning of the nervous system, through Tapas. It is 
as if one proves oneself to the utmost, every single day, until Grace dawns.
