I seriously doubt anyone would suggest you have
to convict somebody before you can interrogate
them.  That wouldn't be against due process in
the slightest, of course.

You just shouldn't be able to *torture* them to
get information, whether they've been convicted
or not.

You bet, there are a lot of people who stand by
the Geneva Conventions, which prohibit torture.

Torture isn't the only, or even the best, way to
get information.
