Why should Madonna care whether Maharishi (or anyone
else, for that matter) approves of what she does?

Why should *anyone* care whether Maharishi (or anyone
else, for that matter) approves of what they do?

I just find it sad that "celebrities" become a focus
for people who obviously don't have lives of their
own, a blank screen onto which they project the things
they don't like about themselves so that they can rail
against them and pretend that they don't have the same
faults or traits. Madonna, schmadonna...how would these
assholes feel if someone put *their* lives under a
similar microscope? My bet is that they wouldn't be
able to handle it with even a fraction of the equan-
imity she and many other celebrities have shown.

Capturing people's attention and getting them to focus
on you sounds great until it happens. Then, if you
have even an ounce of psychic sensibilities, you learn
what having the attention of hundreds, thousands,
and even millions of people focused on you *feels*
like. It doesn't feel good.
