Just a note that bija seed mantras are short because they are meant for transcendence of the vertical approach to meditation. The longer ones are for material benefits or chanting to one of the waves of the ocean. Astrological mantras are used in this way. A mantra for Mercury and the other planets. Also, mantras work when the energy is full and lively not dead. India has been in a state of lethargy for so long because the energy is not fertile enough gain the benefits. This will come to an end for India soon but for the last 5,000 years it has been using mantras only on the superficial level and gaining very little without transcending first. Both aspects of mantra therapy work together. You can't have one side of the coin without the other.
