I never heard that Shankar was a secretary but that he was among a
group of Rig Ved pundits in Seelisberg. It seems Shankar is bending
the history to fit his future, to create his own mythology necessary
to come a cross as a serious Guru. I might be wrong ofcourse, but
seeing an interview with him on Indian TV, I must say that fellow has
a long way to go to even come close to the bliss and wisdom Maharishi
enimates. He seemed very, very happy to be called a "Guru" by the
interviewer.

What I do know is that Maharishi discouraged people to go to Shankars
lectures. Some were kicked out for disobeying Maharishis suggestion,
among at least 1 leading German medical doctor on Purusha.
