In my understanding "yagya" is the spelling that best
reflects the modern (Northern?)Indian pronunciation;
I think "yajña" is the "official linguistic" spelling,
but I guess nobody nowadays pronounces that word
"exactly" like that (would be perhaps something like "yadznya").
