Gotta go with Vaj on this one. It's the same theory one hears about reiki, that the nature of the energy that the reiki practitioner channels is always pure and healing, no matter what his or her personal state of physical or mental health is. That was cleared up once and for all with me when I saw a reiki practitioner who was suffering from a fairly rare skin problem work on a person who was suffering from a completely different health problem. Not only was the patient's original health problem not cured, but he began to show symptoms of the reiki practitioner's skin disease, even those she had never touched the patient.
