TinyMCE is the only editor supported in 4.0 (from what I've read). I believe it takes a core edit to change this. TinyMCE is in 3.0.2. Just put tinyMCE in the Rich Text Editor in the General Config file.

No we might be in a position to upgrade, the problem is that we just upgraded this site to V3.02 from V2.3 2-3 months ago. The hosting provider said that they will support V4, but we need the go ahead from the client to spend the time to do so. Now you mentioned tineMCE, is that better than FCKEditor? I've looked into this issue as well and this is why I made the change I described in my blog. I was told to upgrade to 4.0 because the tinyMCE editor included in that version has a very handy link inserter built in. However, if you are not in a position to change the core, you might not be in a position to upgrade either. Jake No virus found in this outgoing message. Checked by AVG Free Edition.
