It's not a bad idea.  Please raise it as an enhancement -- I'll see
what I can do to get it on the login page by default.

(note you can customise your own login page if desired)

Well we're introducing a page in the Admin that allows you to rebuild
specific metadata; for example, the whole app, just formtools, just
content types, just a plugin and so on.  Hopefully that will be well
received all round :)
