Although the lowest price on the 1&1 VPS looks good, that price doesn't include a ColdFusion license. That would run you at least 1200 for standard, and 7000 for enterprise. I'm failing to see how the 1&1 is a better deal ;).
My gripe with HMS is the fact that they're selling a 512 Meg of RAM plan for ColdFusion at ALL. Hell, CF needs at least that to keep a busy site up and running all by it's lonesome. Add in smarter stats, smarter mail, MSSQL, all running on the same box? Are you kidding me?? We may be switching off of HMS to something like EC2 if the costs work out better.
