I'm coming from the same place. I can make good sense of the code in a particular template or CFC, but it's difficult to understand in the larger context of the FarCry app. Documentation is always a great thing... but we all know that :)
I've also had some issues with installation and find myself getting a bit frustrated. I think beefing up the installation documentation wouldn't require a whole lot of work and would garner a big payoff for the app. The more developers you can get working with the system quickly the more are likely to use it and actively develop in it. The explanation of the web server mappings aren't really clear especially for someone who's coming from the Linux/Apache space and hasn't touched CF on Windows/IIS. If I can get a push in the right direction to get my install functioning I'd be happy to write Apache (and possibly iPlanet) examples that could be included in the documentation. -Cliff On Mon, March 14, 2005 6:04 am, Tom Nunamaker said: > As someone who has lurked in the background, I would add that > documentation > needs to be improved.
