     You get wrong example: open crypto software may/will be more secure,
because it may be viewed and analyzed by experts. If some crypto scheme have
weak points and developers tries to hide these weak points by hiding
sources, then this _not_ increases crypto software securance (especially
because hackers may found holes not only by analyzing sources). I think,
English speaking experts in crypto software may explain you this better. For
example, study Zimmerman's documentation for PGP.

     And when MS scream that "government software should be closed, else it
is unsafe", then this is hype and myth and MS _lies_ there.
