Qwt is some set of additional widgets for Qt?

This is usually caused by "font problems", but I can't say what
specifically is the problem.  I'd start with a trivial application and
work from there.  For example, did you try the trivial app I was using
for tests?  (see URL above)

Possibly someone else can answer that, but you'd need to start with
some smaller app so that others have a chance of reproducing the test
