Kindle good. Well, at least as an ebook reader.

There's only so many books you can shove in a backpack and carry around. Trust me - the average bag tops out at 8 thick books. 10 if you're reading a couple of slimlines.

With a Kindle, I can switch between entire series if it's complicated and you want to refer to other books. If you're like me and you read a lot, the choice is not carry books, or break your shoulder trying to carry enough. The Kindle means I can have what I want on tap for the moment and still have room in my bag for frivolities, like wallets with money or pesky work-related items.

True, you do have to log in to your real computer every few days to swap stuff out, but I assume that's not an issue.
