I seem to remember Ray saying that it would all be explained in the last few 
books.  Could be wrong.

Now if I remember “Magician” correctly Pug was taught “higher magic” through 
memories of magicians before him but what I don’t get is how he casts magic and 
the difference between the “lower and higher” magic's I understand that 
concepts have been explained but I’m still not sure if I understand how magic 
works Patrick
